History of the League
The Magnitude Gaming League was created after several members of the Magnitude Gaming Team began to think the PS4 community needed to be more professional and more organized. We are putting all of our effort into the league to provide the players of the PS4 community with real tangible prizes out of our own pockets.
What it is?
The Magnitude Gaming League aims to resolve these conflicts through providing a similar competitive atmosphere to the PS4. Similar to the MLG League, the Magnitude Gaming League will run off of a point based system. You receive 3 points for a win and 0 for a loss/forfeit. However, ANY team who wants to participate in the league may apply and will be accepted. In order to organize a large number of teams, teams will be placed into different divisions based on their skill. Each division will consist of a maximum of 10 teams. At the end of each season, the top two teams of every division, excluding the top/professional division, will be promoted to the division ahead of them in order to make their way to the professional division. On the other hand, the bottom two teams, excluding the lowest/amateur division, will be demoted to the league below them.
Essentially, the league will function in a way similar to how soccer/football works in places such as the UK and Spain if the last passage was confusing. Seeing as though this will be a test season, the prizes will be minor for the champion of the professional division. All matches will be scheduled and many will be streamed after more of a staff is hired or players decide to do so. Like anything new and innovating, there will be some kinks that need to be worked out along the way, but that is what the test season is for.
